Consumer products company Sunbeam Products Inc. launched its Oster(R) Inspire(TM) Collection product series. The new 15-product line will be initially available exclusively at Target stores nationwide through March 2004 and will be available at department and specialty stores thereafter.
The new collection includes rice cookers, food processors, hand blenders, toasters, can openers, food steamers, toaster ovens, breadmakers, and blenders.
According to Sunbeam, the Oster Inspire appliances are designed with rounded edges and are available in white, matte, silver, and chrome. Ranging in price from U.S. $14.99 to $79.99, the line features packaging with product-specific recipes developed by numerous chefs. Products priced at $29.99 and above will include a copy of "The Art of Food" cookbook, a collection of 50 recipes that feature different Oster Inspire products to encourage imaginative food preparation, the company said.
In addition to recipes, detailed product instructions have been included to emphasize the versatility of each appliance, Sunbeam said. For example, the versatile Oster Inspire 4717 Multi-Use Rice Cooker has a 10-cup uncooked rice capacity, but also features 700 W of power and a non-stick pot to cook a variety foods, from chocolate fondue to vegetable soup.
"This collection has been created specifically to inspire consumers to go beyond the norm, take chances, and create unique home-prepared meals," stated Chuck Myers, senior vice president of GM Global Appliances, Sunbeam Products, Inc. "We anticipate these appliances will bring out the chef in anyone who wants to elevate their cooking and food preparation skills."
