Researchers at Selling Power magazine have identified business appliance maker Xerox Corporation as one of the best companies for salespeople to work for, ranking Xerox in the top 10 among some of the most respected manufacturing companies in the U.S.
According to an annual survey conducted by the magazine, top marks in compensation, training, and career mobility earned Xerox the number six slot out of the 379 companies evaluated, with a sales force of more than 500 employees.
"To sustain an environment of high performance and customer satisfaction, we continue to develop our people through learning opportunities designed to build sales skills and personal development for career advancement," said Mike MacDonald, Xerox's president, North American Solutions Group (NASG). "Being ranked as a top 10 sales organization recognizes Xerox's success in ensuring the right initiatives are in place to reward our most valuable asset -- our people."
NASG develops, sells, and services Xerox products and solutions throughout the U.S. and Canada to large enterprises, global accounts, and commercial printing environments. The group employs about 27,000 direct sales, services, and support experts who serve customers through its geographic and industry-focused business units.
Selling Power's annual survey ranks the top 25 manufacturing companies and the top 25 service companies in order to create "the 50 best companies to sell for" report.
