Ricoh Corporation (West Caldwell, NJ, U.S.), subsidiary of Ricoh Company Ltd., introduced the Ricoh(R) Priport JP4500, a high-volume digital copy machine that is said to be ideal for schools, non-profit organizations, and businesses.
The Priport JP4500, equipped with a retry paper feed mechanism field tested in marketplace applications, is said to copy on bond paper and construction stock, handling sheets up to 11 in x 17in and envelopes of 10 in x 13 in, while featuring a large LCD screen for user accessibility and a slide-out cylinder for spot color printing.
The new copier feature print pressure sensors on the print rollers that gauge speed, temperature, and humidity and adjust the roller's pressure to optimize print quality. The ink control is said to produce crisper images while managing ink delivery to improve consumption and enable more prints per cartridge.
Operators can select from five different duplicating speeds ranging from 60 to 120 impressions per min. With optional network controllers, the digital copier can print from connected Windows, Macintosh, or network operating system.
The Priport JP4500 is now available at a suggested retail price of $9,995.
