AHMA Appoints Contractor for Chicago Hardware Show Dec 2, 2003

The American Hardware Manufacturers Association (AHMA) (Schaumburg, IL, U.S.) announced the selection of GES Exposition Services (Las Vegas, NV, U.S.) as the official general services contractor for the AHMA Hardware Show, to be held April 18-20, 2004 at McCormick Place in Chicago, IL, U.S.

"After 25 years of sponsorship, we have decided to produce the show independently," said Timothy S. Farrell, AHMA's executive vice president & chief operating officer. "By enlisting the knowledge and expertise of industry powerhouse GES and the strength of its Chicago operation, it guarantees that the 2004 show will afford a great overall experience for our exhibitors. GES' proactive customer service, leading technology and cooperative spirit makes them the perfect choice for our show."

GES will work with ConvExx, the trade show management firm hired by AHMA to oversee the new Hardware Show, which will remain in its hometown of Chicago.

"Our goal is to drive improved service for the exhibitors," said Paul Dykstra, president and CEO for GES. "We have worked with AHMA on an innovative show structure that will allow exhibitors to receive more value than ever before."
