Maytag International and MDA, LLC., signed a licensing agreement to distribute Admiral(R) brand home comfort appliances and consumer electronics throughout Central and South America and the Caribbean.

Maytag International, Inc., is a business unit of Maytag Corporation. MDA, LLC., has strong relationships with producers throughout Asia and Latin America, as well as with distributor and retail customers in the territory. MDA principals have each held leadership positions in Latin American markets in trade finance, purchasing and sales management within the home appliance industry, and international marketing.

The new Admiral brand license agreement with MDA coincides with a revival of the Admiral brand in the United States, as well as a strong brand marketing campaign in the Caribbean led by Courts, that area's largest electrical and furniture retailer. An expanded line of Admiral products will be available throughout Latin America, including more than 100 stores in Puerto Rico that carry or have recently carried Admiral products, as well as to more than 60 other current or recent Admiral distributors in the territory.
