The National Hardware Show (Las Vegas) and International Hardware Fair PRACTICAL WORLD (Cologne) have announced that they have signed a letter of intent to enter into a contractual sales and marketing agreement.
This contractual alliance will align the international event, International Hardware Fair PRACTICAL WORLD ñ Cologne, with the North American event, The National Hardware Show, to further strengthen the international hardware/home improvement/do-it-yourself marketplace, according to a statement from the show organizers. ìThe alliance forges a new level of cooperation between two independent show organizers on separate continents, thus leveraging their collective assets to serve the growing international community,î the statement said.
According to Dennis J. MacDonald, senior vice president, 2004 National Hardware Show, ìThis is a wonderful step forward, as these two companies have come together to support the global community of hardware/home improvement manufacturers, distributors, and retailers. With the increasing globalization of the hardware/home improvement/do-it-yourself marketplace, this agreement is particularly important in several ways. As a result of the collaboration between the two entities, the industry sector will benefit through enhanced efficiencies, faster speed-to-market distribution and superior customer service globally. î
The International Hardware Fair PRACTICAL WORLD, will be held in Cologne, Germany, March 14-17, 2004.
The 2004 National Hardware Show, owned and managed by Reed Exhibitions and its affiliates, will be held in Las Vegas, NV, U.S., May 10-12, 2004.
