SonoSite, Inc., a Bothell, WA, U.S.-based developer of ultrasound devices, announced the promotion of Bradley G. Garrett to the position of chief operating officer (COO) of the company. The company also announced the promotion of David G. Willis to the position of vice president of Product and Channel Management.
As COO, Mr. Garrett will oversee product strategy, research and development, product management, manufacturing and service. In his previous position as the executive in charge of manufacturing, Mr. Garrett managed the company's manufacturing operations and significantly increased factory productivity.
Mr. Garrett's career spans over 20 years in the high technology industry. He has held positions with responsibility for customer management, product development, and operations functions. Prior to joining SonoSite, Mr. Garrett served as vice president of Operations for the Laughlin-Wilt Group, a contract manufacturer of printed circuit assemblies and electronic products where he was responsible for production, manufacturing and test engineering, quality assurance, materials management, customer service and account management. Mr. Garrett holds a master's degree in business administration and a Bachelor of Arts degree, both from the University of Oregon in Eugene, OR, U.S.

Mr. Willis' career spans 18 years of clinical and corporate experience in the ultrasound industry. He has held the position of director of Product Marketing at SonoSite since 1999. Most recently, Mr. Willis was in charge of global product management for the successful launch of the Titan ultrasound system, the company's newest product. In his new role, Mr. Willis will oversee a team of clinically skilled corporate marketing specialists aimed at accelerating sales execution.
Prior to joining SonoSite, Mr. Willis worked for 10 years at ATL Ultrasound, now part of Philips Medical Systems, in positions of increasing responsibility for clinical marketing and international sales. He is a registered medical sonographer (RDMS, RDCS) and has completed the Executive Education Program at the Wharton School of Business.
