Samsung Electronics Co. held a road show Monday in the Turkish capital of Istanbul, company officials said.
Under the theme of "digital inspiration," Samsung said the Global Road Show 2003 exhibited its vision and strategy for the revolution of digital convergence.
The company displayed 70-in plasma display panel TVs, liquid crystal display (LCD) TVs, cleaning robots, smart phones, TV phones, and four-giga NAND-type flash memory chips at the event.
"(Samsung) has selected four strategic sectors, comprising home networks, mobile networks, office networks, and core parts needed to build those networks, in order to lead digital convergence," Yun Jong-yong, vice chairman of Samsung Electronics, was quoted as saying at the show.
The road show has taken place several times in many cities around the world since 1999 as part of the company’s efforts to enhance its brand image and lure foreign investors. (Yonhap, Asia Pulse)
