The North American Retail Dealers Association (NARDA) announced that Elly Valas, NARDA president/CEO, is leaving the association in January 2004 after 12 years of service. She joined NARDA in March 1992 as director of the association with responsibility for education. She became executive director in January 1996 and president/CEO last January. She plans to continue working on NARDA's 21st Century Retail Vision Program and will serve as a management consultant to the appliance and consumer electronics industries.
