Krups and Rowenta to Merge Oct 7, 2003

Krups North America and Rowenta are in the process of merging operations. The sales and marketing teams of the two Groupe SEB companies have combined, customer service has been brought in-house and Krups, formerly headquartered in Closter, NJ, U.S. has moved its sales and marketing operations to Rowenta's base in Medford, MA, U.S.

Marketing initiatives for both Krups and Rowenta will be managed by Jean-Paul Ciquier, senior vice president of Marketing for both brands. Previously, Mr. Ciquier was senior vice president of Marketing for Krups. Steve Jones, formerly the vice president of Marketing for Rowenta, will focus on the consumer business for both brands as the marketing and communications director.

Product managers will handle their categories across both brands as well. They are: Dawn Fisher for coffeemakers and grinders; Elizabeth Rosberg for espresso machines, kettles and food preparation; Mike Cosco for electrical cooking products; and Sebastien Alegre for garment care products (exclusive to the Rowenta brand).

Ms. Rosberg was product manager for garment care at Rowenta, Mr. Cosco was product manager for kitchen electrics and scales at Rowenta, and Mr. Alegre was product manager for kitchen electrics at Krups.
