Mitsubishi Electric Corp. said it has developed an Internet-based navigation system for cell phones that will guide people to destinations by giving directions together with pictures of landmarks along the way.
Users of the system will be able to check their positions by comparing their surroundings with pictures on their mobile phone screens, Mitsubishi said. The system could also be used to get directions to tourist spots, real estate, and construction sites. (Kyodo News)
