J-Phone to Recall Defective Handsets Sep 16, 2003

J-Phone Co. of Japan said it will recall about 380,000 of its mobile phone handsets for free repairs of defective software. Subject to the recall is the J-SH53 model that is manufactured by Sharp Corp. and was launched in May. J-Phone said wrong data processing will affect certain functions. (Kyodo News)
