Television manufacturer, Skyworth Digital Holdings Ltd., said that it sold 60-percent more televisions in August than a year earlier, indicating continued strong demand for its products both domestically and overseas.

In a statement, the company said it sold 476,000 TVs in China during the month, up 44 percent on year, while overseas sales grew 124 percent to 186,000 units.

In July, the company sold 535,000 TVs in total, up 30 percent on year, with overseas sales 5-percent lower because of a high comparative base.

In August, its total unit sales of audio-visual products rose 2 percent on year to 106,000. (Dow Jones)
