Lowe's Names Board of Director Member Sep 15, 2003

Appliance retailer Lowe's Companies, Inc. announced the appointment of Stephen F. Page to its board of directors. Mr. Page is vice chairman and chief financial officer of United Technologies Corp., which owns HVAC manufacturer Carrier Corporation.

Mr. Page joined UTC from Black & Decker Corp. in 1993 as CFO and executive vice president. In 1997, he was named president and CEO of UTC's Otis Elevator Co., and in 2002, returned to UTC headquarters as vice chairman, CFO, and board member.
