Apex Digital, Inc., a maker of TVs and DVD home entertainment players, announced the promotion of Stephen Brothers to president. In this position, Mr. Brothers reports directly to Apex vice chairman, Ancle Hsu.
Mr. Brothers has been with Apex since its inception in 1999, directing the company's sales and marketing efforts. Under his leadership, the Apex brand has grown from a market newcomer to being sold in over 20,000 retail outlets, with expectations to reach over 25,000 in 2004 and 30,000 by 2005, according to the company.
Prior to his work with Apex, Mr. Brothers had more than 35 years of experience in consumer electronics, having been instrumental in introducing the JVC and Daewoo brands to the U.S. market, the company said.
In conjunction with his new position, Mr. Brothers has re-aligned members of his senior staff: Stan Jozwiak is promoted to executive vice president from vice president of Operations; Gary Bennett is promoted to senior vice president of Sales and Marketing from vice president of Sales; and Sal Fiore is promoted to assistant to the president from sales operations manager.
