The kitchen and bathroom electronics market is growing rapidly in Shanghai, according to the Shanghai Consumer Electronics Association (SCEA).
The demand for kitchen and bathroom electronics is growing at an annual rate of 25 percent.
According to a report from Asia Pulse, more and more companies are edging into the market because kitchen and bathroom electronics are highly profitable. The average profit rate is between 10 and 30 percent, twice the figure for other household electronics. Newcomers to the market include several traditional electronics makers like Haier and Midea.
Foreign brands, with advantages in capital and technology, are dominating the water heater market, said one SCEA analyst. Meanwhile, domestic companies have taken the bigger shares in kitchen electronics. (Asia Pulse)
