Intel and Sony Launch Interactive Tour Jul 25, 2003

Sony Electronics and Intel Corporation announced Thursday the Your Digital Destiny tour -- a hands-on experience for technology consumers.

The mobile showcase, scheduled to run July 25 to 27 in North Carolina, U.S., incorporates more than 160 computing and entertainment devices, including new PCs, hand-held devices, digital cameras, home theaters, and a series of interactive demos.

According to Intel and Sony, the purpose is to give consumers an opportunity to see, hear, and feel how innovative home and mobile technologies -- whether it's DVD burning, home networking, playing online games, or catching up with e-mail on the road.

The hope is that after test-driving some of today's hottest technologies, consumers will want to purchase the latest Sony and Intel wares.

To further entice consumers, visitors can enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win more than U.S. $25,000 in Sony products to outfit their digital lifestyle.
