Sharp Electronics Corporation introduced its new line of Plasmacluster(TM) air purifiers (models FP-N25CX, FP-N40CX, and FP-N60CX). Based on the company’s Plasmacluster Ion technology, the air purifiers reportedly clean the air, as well as remove airborne irritants and allergens like pet dander, pollen, and smoke. The products are simple to use and care for, and the design integrates easily into any room in the home or office, according to the company.

Plasmacluster Ion technology generates positive and negative ions that reach all areas of the room to efficiently and effectively clean the targeted air space, said the company. The models are equipped with a triple filtration system, which includes a true HEPA filter and an active carbon filter, that work to remove household odors. They also feature Library Quiet(TM) performance. Other features include an air status indicator to measure the presence of odor and dust particles, an inverter-controlled fan, and a special program that reportedly helps reduce the presence of airborne allergens. The units also come with a remote control that features an ion control button, clean button, and auto cluster ion button.

The company reports that models FP-N40CX and FP-N60CX will be available this month at manufacturer's suggested retail prices of U.S. $449.95 and $549.95 respectively. Model FP-N25CX will be available at a later date.
