The Bangalore branch of LG Electronics India Ltd. this week said it had recorded a turnover of Rs 1 billion (U.S. $21.4 million) from January to May 2003.
Registering 78-percent growth over the corresponding period during last year, LG Electronics said the color TV and air-conditioner sales were 90 percent stronger, while refrigerator and washing machine sales were up by 75 percent.
"We are aiming at a revenue of Rs 2.5 billion from Karnataka during the year," Prasoon Kumar, LG Electronics India Pvt. Ltd. Bangalore branch manager said in a statement. (Asia Pulse)
