Sony Ericsson Net Loss Widens Jul 16, 2003

Mobile phone producer Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications AB said its net loss for the April-June quarter widened to 88 million euros (11.6 billion yen) from 83 million euros a year earlier.

However, excluding restructuring charges, the net loss came to 33 million euros, representing a year-on-year improvement of 50 million euros, said Sony Corp's mobile-phone joint venture with Sweden's Telefon AB L.M. Ericsson. (Kyodo News)
