Sharp Corp and Texas Instruments Inc said they have agreed to tie up in the business of semiconductor components for cell phone handsets equipped with a camera. Under the alliance, the two companies will sell key components — a combination of Sharp's color liquid crystal display panels and built-in cameras and Texas Instruments' chipsets, including digital signal processors — to cell phone terminal manufacturers in Europe and China through the sales networks of each company, they said.
