The Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM) announced the addition of eight new members since the inaugural meeting of its Floor Care Davison on April 7, 2003. Recently joining AHAM are Bissell Homecare Inc, Emerson Tool Company, Broan-NuTone, The Eureka Company, Lindsay Manufacturing, Inc., Panasonic Home and Commercial Products Company, Rexair Inc., and BSH Home Appliances (Bosch). These companies join The Hoover Company, Royal Appliance Manufacturing Company, Miele, Inc., and Dyson Limited.
AHAM’s Floor Care Division was established in January 2003. AHAM says it been engaged in a number of issues affecting the floor care industry, such as technical standards, indoor air quality, packaging requirements in Canada, and proposed California Energy Commission regulations. AHAM says it is also working closely with ASTM, CRI, and IEC working groups on behalf of its floor care members. The first meeting of the Floor Care Division’s Engineering Council was held on June 25 in conjunction with IEC meetings in North Canton, OH, U.S. Back
