Helen of Troy Receives Award of Excellence from Wal-Mart Jul 2, 2003

Personal care products maker Helen of Troy Limited on Tuesday announced that it has received the "Supplier Award of Excellence" for the personal care products category from retailer Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. for the first quarter of 2003.

In a letter to Gerald J. Rubin, chairman, CEO, and president of Helen of Troy, Wal-Mart's Executive Vice President, General Merchandise, Don S. Harris, stated,: "Suppliers such as you lead the way in helping us meet the consumer's needs. Your merchandise quality, fulfillment execution and understanding of the market help us better serve our customers."

Mr. Rubin responded: "We are extremely pleased to receive this prestigious award from Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. Our entire organization is committed to providing innovative world class products to continually meet the needs of our customers."
