3Com Corporation, maker of voice and data networking products, announced the appointment of Nick Ganio as its executive vice president, worldwide sales, effective immediately. He will report directly to Bruce Claflin, president and CEO of 3Com.
Based in the Marlborough, MA, U.S. facility, Mr. Ganio will lead 3Com's worldwide sales organization covering the America's and International sales.
Mr. Ganio comes directly to 3Com from Bell Microproducts. In his role as president of the Enterprise Division at Bell, Mr. Ganio was responsible for $1 billion in annual revenues. He spent the first 6 years of his career at IBM where he held various technical, sales, and marketing positions. He then spent 10 years with Digital Equipment Corporation, ending his time there as vice president and general manager of the Networking Business Unit. Mr. Ganio has held other executive title roles in his career, including group vice president of worldwide sales, marketing, and services at Computer Network Technology (CNT).
