Siemens Dematic AG, a subsidiary of Siemens AG has named Prashant Ranade president and chief executive officer of Siemens Dematic Material Handling Automation - Americas. He previously served as the senior vice president of national service for Siemens Medical Solutions in Cary, NC, U.S. He succeeds Pete Metros, who retains his position as a member of the global board of directors for Siemens Dematic with worldwide responsibility for Material Handling Automation. The leadership change is effective May 19, 2003.
