Brother International Names New CEO Mar 18, 2003

Hideo Kageyama, chairman of consumer products manufacturer Brother International Corporation, has relinquished the duties of CEO to Toshikazu "Terry" Koike.

Mr. Koike remains president and now assumes these additional responsibilities so that Mr. Kageyama can spend increasing periods of time in Japan and other Brother worldwide companies.

A graduate of Waseda University in Tokyo, Mr. Koike joined Brother Industries, Ltd., in 1979 and began a stateside career with Brother International Corporation in 1982. He was named executive vice president in 1999, and has served as a director of the Corporation since 1992. In January 2000, Mr. Koike was named president.
