Eureka to Make Aerus Floor Care Products Mar 13, 2003

The Eureka Company, a subsidiary of A.B. Electrolux, and Aerus LLC today announced an agreement to have Eureka manufacture a limited line of floor care products for Aerus. The agreement was signed on March 12, 2003. The transfer of the product assembly and distribution to Eureka's El Paso, TX, U.S. facilities will begin immediately and is expected to be complete by the end of May 2003.

Joseph Urso, Aerus chairman and CEO, and Dan Clifford, The Eureka Company president, said in a joint announcement that the production move benefits both companies. It leverages manufacturing and sourcing capabilities within Eureka, while allowing Aerus to capture significant economies of scale and ensure a cost-effective reliable source of product supply.
