Flat Panel Sales to Rise Mar 13, 2003

Sales of flat-panel computer screens will beat those of
traditional picture-tube models this year for the first time as
prices fall, the market researcher International Data Corp. said.
Global liquid-crystal display sales would rise to more than U.S. $20 billion as total shipments of monitors increase 4.8 percent this year. Sales increased 0.7 percent from 2001 to 2002, helped by the shift to LCD screens, IDC said.(Bloomberg News)
