Toshiba Corp. said it will spin off its home electrical appliances business and integrate it with related group firms in October under a new 3-year business plan aimed at boosting profitability. "Toshiba has undertaken a comprehensive review of its operational framework in order to secure its optimization," it said in a statement. "As a result of this, the company will reform some in-house businesses and separate others from the parent." (Kyodo News)
