National Semiconductor Loss Narrows Mar 7, 2003

National Semiconductor Corp. had a third-quarter net loss of
U.S. $36.4 million, down from a loss of $37.8 million a year earlier, as it took charges related to job cuts. Revenue for the quarter ended Feb. 23 rose to $404.3 million from $369.5 million a year earlier, the California-based company said, adding that it was forecasting revenue of between $420 million and $432 million for the fourth quarter.
