Information-technology spending will rise 1.9 percent this year, a Forrester Research Inc. survey of North American companies said.
Midsize companies - those with annual sales of U.S. $500 million to $1 billion - will bolster spending by 2.6 percent, Forrester said. Technology spending has been in a 2-year slump, hurt most in the financial industry, the leading buyer of technology.
