Blondal Expects Profit Growth Mar 3, 2003

Blondal Marketing Sdn Bhd, an international distributor of leading commercial cleaning equipment brands in Malaysia, expects a 50-percent growth in profits this year, its chairman and CEO Gunnar O.S. Broberg said.

He said Blondal, formerly known as Electrolux Malaysia, was now spreading its wings into the Asian region and had teamed up with Cleanfix Reinigungssyteme AG a year ago to distribute the Cleanfix range of products throughout Asia.

"This is the perfect time for such a partnership as the Asian market is ripe and ready for new technologies,” he said. Furthermore, Mr. Broberg said customers in Asia were getting more demanding and sophisticated and the Cleanfix range of products would certainly fit and fulfil the diverse needs of its customers. He said the company had been in the commercial cleaning equipment business for over 20 years.

In the last few years, with the rapid technological advancement in the commercial and industrial cleaning industry, Blondal had been actively pursuing the world’s leading commercial cleaning manufacturers, to bring these brands to Malaysia, he added.

He said the company had a wide network of over 55 branches in Malaysia and over 1,000 staff. To date, Blondal holds the sole distributorship for renowned brand names such as DustControl, LuxAppliances, CleanFix and is the authorised distributorship for Alto-Densin and 3M. (Star Publications)
