U.S. appliance maker Bosch today announced the launch of its new dishwasher line-up featuring Apexx(TM) wash technology. A Bosch exclusive technology, Apexx utilizes two soil sensors to adjust wash cycle time, water temperature, and consumption for top performance with maximum water and energy savings.
"Apexx continues Bosch's more than 100-year tradition of developing technically innovative, beautifully designed appliances that far exceed consumer expectations," said Franz J. Bosshard, president and CEO of Bosch. "With the addition of Apexx to the other exclusive features offered in Bosch dishwashers, we have advanced our line-up providing consumers greater performance, versatility and value than ever before."
Bosch says its quiet models ranked number one and two in the most recent Consumer Reports ratings on dishwashers. In addition, the company says the dishwashers’ European design have made the appliances favorites among architects, designers, and style-conscious consumers. The dishwasher also carry the Energy Star(R) label, which means they exceed strict efficiency guidelines set by the EPA and US Department of Energy.
The new line-up features four design styles ranging in price from U.S $529 for a value-packed Distinctive Design up to $1,500 for the top Integra Limited Design(TM) model. The four designs are listed below.

To enable consumers to achieve a custom look, Bosch offers a fully integrated design that covers the entire dishwasher front with a panel that matches kitchen cabinetry. For those looking for a more classic style, the semi-integrated design has a sleek stainless steel control panel that tops the choice of custom front panel. Integrated Design models include a wide choice of Bosch features, including Apexx wash.
Integra models are said to be perfect for the contemporary kitchen, with a clean, understated and elegant design. Reportedly one of the first dishwashers to offer concealed controls, the models have an uninterrupted front panel, wraparound door, and softly rounded handle. The model is available in black, white, biscuit, or stainless steel.
The Distinctive line features a contemporary one-piece door with an ergonomically designed front control panel. Models available in black, white, biscuit, and stainless steel.
Bosch dishwashers all include the company’s core quality features, including the Bosch Stainless TallTub(TM) for durability and dependability and an efficient condensation drying system. In addition, every Bosch dishwasher now includes the Sensatronic(TM) system, which is said to sense soil levels to adjust the amount of water and the length of cycles needed to clean each load. The system reportedly ensures quality wash performance while saving up to 30 percent in water and energy use per year. In fact, Bosch says its dishwashers can clean a full load using as little as 3.1 gallons of water.
Another Bosch exclusive, Exact Wash(TM) adds Flow-Control(TM) technology that allows the upper and lower spray arms to work simultaneously or independently for energy and water savings. Bosch says its OptiMISER(TM) option is designed for the 80 percent of U.S. households that pre-rinse dishes before loading, wasting water, energy, and time. OptiMISER recalibrates the entire wash cycle, maximizing efficiency at various stages of the cycle.
Other new features include RackMatic(TM), which allows the user to adjust rack height even when fully loaded, making the dishwasher more versatile and easier to load.
