Keith R. McLoughlin was named the new president of Electrolux Home Products (EHP) North America, Electrolux Group's business sector for white goods appliances in North America.
EHP North America provides domestic appliances such as refrigerators, dishwashers, cooking appliances, washing machines, and room air-conditioners.
Electrolux announced in September of 2002 that it plans to separate white goods appliances from consumer outdoor products in the North American market. Bob Cook has been serving the dual role of president for white goods and consumer outdoor products, and will now serve as president of consumer outdoor products in North America.
Mr. McLoughlin is currently vice president and general manager of DuPont Nonwovens. He served in a number of senior management positions in his 22 years with DuPont, successfully leading consumer branded businesses such as Tyvek®, Corian®, and Stainmaster(TM) carpeting. He also serves on the board of DuPont Canada, Inc.
Mr. McLoughlin will assume his new position on March 17, 2003, and will be based in Augusta, GA, U.S. As president of EHP North America and an executive vice president of Electrolux, he will be a member of Group Management and will report to Electrolux President and CEO Hans Straberg.
EHP North America is the Electrolux Group's business sector for white goods in North America, with sales of approximately SEK 30 billion (U.S. $3.1 billion) and about 15,000 employees. The business sector sells products under the Frigidaire and Tappan brands, as well as the newly introduced Electrolux brand.
