DACOR, a maker of high-end kitchen appliances, announces the production and availability of a new 30-in dishwasher. At 40-percent greater capacity, the Epicure(TM) 30-in Dishwasher (EDW30) is said to be the largest commercial-style dishwasher for home use on the market. The new dishwasher further expands DACOR's complete line of upscale, performance-driven products, and marks the company's initial entry into this product segment.

DACOR said the development of the EDW30 resulted from strong demand by the its customer base for a dishwasher with larger capacity, more efficient cleaning, and quieter operation. The EDW30 holds 20-plus place settings and is also reportedly one of the quietest dishwashers on the market. A hidden electronic control panel, positioned on top of the door, ensures streamlined integration into the latest designer cabinetry styles to provide a highly desirable aesthetic appearance.

The new DACOR Epicure 30" dishwasher has the following features:

  • Smart Cycle(TM) operation continually senses the cleanness of water through an electronic brain on board.
  • A hydrodynamic system moves large volumes of water through the unit to improve cleanability.
  • Specially designed tri-hydro wash arms further increase distributed water.
  • Nine wash levels offer superior cleaning along with a convenient delayed wash mode.
  • Uniquely insulated walls ensure exceptionally quiet performance.
  • Adjustable racks with 2-in extra clearance allow loading of any oversized pots and pans.
  • Eight nylon-coated adjustable tines protect against damage to priceless china and glassware.
  • Upper-rack side foldable shelves allow users to double stack coffee and teacups.
  • An extra large, movable silverware basket splits in half for loading versatility.
  • Two covered compartments protect small utensils from falling to the bottom of the dishwasher.
  • Child lockout settings to protect youngsters from undue harm.

"In keeping with our commitment to enhance family life in the kitchen and beyond, we developed our new dishwasher to please the most demanding consumer," said S. Michael Joseph, chairman and CEO of DACOR. "A powerfully beautiful performer, the Epicure 30" delivers more style, convenience and reliability than any option on the market today."

Available in two models, the Epicure EDW30 coordinates with DACOR’s Epicure line of kitchen appliances, and the fully integrated IDW30 model accommodates a custom panel to coordinate with kitchen cabinetry. Installation height of both models is fully adjustable from 32 1/4 in to 35 in. In addition, the front and back legs of both units are fully adjustable from the front.
