Haier to Set Up Indian Subsidiary Jan 15, 2003

Haier, a Chinese white goods maker, plans to enter the Indian market through a fully-owned subsidiary in the country. The company is also planning to set up manufacturing facilities in India. Haier said it wants to undertake manufacture, sale, supply, and after sales services activities and the activity of cash and carry wholesale trading in electrical/electronic products and appliances under its subsidiary.
