The Japanese unit of Microsoft Corp unveiled its wireless Smart Display technology that enables remote access to personal computers (PCs). The touch-sensitive screen enables remote operation of most programs via wireless hookup and is like a "cordless handset" for the telephone, a Microsoft official said. Microsoft said NEC Corp and Fujitsu Ltd will shortly release products based on the Smart Display technology. NEC, for instance, will introduce its Smart Display SD10, which has a 10.4-in liquid crystal display on Feb 6. (Kyodo News)
