GE Names New Corporate VP and Treasurer Dec 23, 2002

General Electric Co. on Monday named Kathryn Cassidy corporate vice president and treasurer, replacing veteran James Bunt, who is retiring at the end of the year.

Ms. Cassidy's new role takes effect Jan. 1, 2003. Ms. Cassidy is currently vice president and treasurer of GE Capital Services, with responsibility for GE's treasury operations. Mr. Blunt, 61, retires after 34 years with the company, the last nine as vice president and treasurer.

GE also promoted Mark Krakowiak, 41, to vice president of Corporate Risk and Financing. He currently serves as corporate financial analyst in GE's Office of the CEO. In his new role, he will oversee cash forecasting for the company.

GE CFO Keith Sherin said Ms. Cassidy and Mr. Krakowiak will play a key role in ensuring that GE and GE Capital Services maintain their triple-A credit ratings. (Reuters)
