YORK International Corporation announced today the consolidation of its Polo, IL, U.S. and Dixon, IL, U.S. manufacturing facilities into a single expanded facility in Dixon. The operations in Polo and Dixon manufacture heat transfer equipment for the industrial refrigeration and HVAC markets.

"In a cooperative effort with the State of Illinois, we are investing in the expansion of our production capability, product quality and performance leadership, which will enable us to capitalize on our excellent growth potential," said Mark Stencel, General Manager of YORK's Polo and Dixon businesses. "The consolidation of the facilities in Illinois allows YORK to retain the key skill sets of an outstanding workforce, and allows the City of Dixon and the State of Illinois to benefit from job creation and continued growth to the local economy."

Ed Schinner, President of YORK Refrigeration North America, explains. "This consolidation supports YORK Refrigeration's strategic initiatives aimed at being a full-line supplier of world-class products to the industrial refrigeration market. It will allow us to achieve better asset utilization and better serve our customers by combining all of our Frick/Imeco/ACUair products and customer service activities under one roof." The products include evaporators, unit coolers, evaporative condensers and fluid coolers, air makeup and hygienic air units.
