Vent-A-Hood, the company that created the modern residential range hood, has received an endorsement from the National Kitchen and Bath Association for its "Basic Fundamentals of Cooking Ventilation" training program. All distributors and dealers of Vent-A-Hood products who are NKBA certified participants who attend the class now will earn .9 CEU (continuing education unit) credits from the NKBA.

"The NKBA is one of the industry’s most respected organizations,“ said Blake Woodall, director of Sales for Vent-A-Hood. "So this is a great affirmation of the dedication to education and training that Vent-A-Hood considers vital in representing our products across the country." Amanda Hornick, certification coordinator for the NKBA, said the CEU credits provide the opportunity for individuals to be recognized for their efforts to update or broaden their occupational knowledge, skills, or attitudes. "Not all range hoods are equal, and consumers have created the demand for a premium product in ventilation as well as all kitchen appliances. That’s why our class has been a requirement for representing the Vent-A-Hood line."

The class, which is held three times a month at Vent-A-Hood’s corporate headquarters, in Richardson, TX, U.S. is a 2-day session that focuses on design and implementation of proper ventilation and kitchen safety for cook tops in today’s American households. Participants also get an in-depth look at the manufacturing process for Vent-A-Hood products and the engineering behind the company’s patented Magic Lung® that liquefies grease, removes 99 percent of smoke and odors, and reduces the chance of kitchen fires when cooking.
