Sony Ericsson Model Tops Sales List at Swedish Retailer May 1, 2003

Sony Ericsson’s T68 mobile phone was the top seller at GEAB The Phone House’s stores in Sweden during the month of February, according to a Dow Jones report. The color-screen phone, which supports mobile Internet services, was the retailer’s best seller based both on the number of phones sold and on revenue generated.

According to GEAB, Sony Ericsson’s T200 model ranked second, based on the number of phones sold, following by four models from Nokia Corp. Based on revenue, Sony Ericsson’s P800 smart phone ranked second, followed by Nokia’s 6310 model and the Sony Ericsson T200, GEAB said. The P800, which Sony Ericsson began selling at the end of 2002, functions as a mobile phone and personal digital assistant and includes a camera.

Owned by Carphone Warehouse, GEAB is one of Sweden’s largest independent mobile phone retailers and is said to account for about 12 percent of the phone sales in Sweden.
