Comdex Wireless Demands Surpass Supply Nov 21, 2002

Going wireless is said to be the big pitch at Comdex in Las Vegas, NV, U.S. this week, but many conference attendees
have been unable to use the wireless system available on the
trade show floor. The problem, organizers say, is that demand
for the free wireless service was far greater than anticipated.
"It's an unprecedented amount of usage," said Geoff Horne at
Key3Media Group Inc., the conference's organizer. Horne said
organizers wanted to ensure a positive experience for users and
thus limited the number of connections at any one time to about
300 users. About 125,000 people were expected to attend the
weeklong show.(Associated Press)
