China to Impose Steel Import Tariffs Nov 14, 2002

China will impose emergency tariffs against steel imports from Japan and other nations beginning Nov. 20, Japanese officials said. The officials said China notified Japan during bilateral talks in Beijing of its decision to invoke the "safeguard" import measures under World Trade Organization (WTO) trade rules. (Kyodo News)
