Karcher GmbH, a German maker of cleaning equipment, unveiled a home-use robot that automatically sweeps the floor and unloads collected dust. The disc-shaped robot is 30 cm across and 105 cm high and weighs 2 kg. Acting as a vacuum cleaner, it collects dust through a hole in its bottom while moving in a room. It automatically change directions whenever it hits obstacles. (Kyodo News)
