Nordson Corporation's board of directors elected Robert E. Veillette secretary of the company. Mr. Veillette assumes responsibility for providing counsel and administrative support to the board of directors and executive management on matters of corporate governance and compliance. He succeeds William D. Ginn who has been the secretary and a director of Nordson since its inception. Mr. Ginn continues as a member of the board of directors.
Mr. Veillette joined Nordson in 1985 as an attorney and has served in positions of increasing responsibility, most recently as assistant general counsel and assistant secretary. He will continue in his role as assistant general counsel.
Mr. Veillette holds a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Pittsburgh and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Akron.
