TurboChef Technologies, Inc. said today it named Vince Gennaro chief executive officer (CEO). Mr. Gennaro replaces Jeffrey Bogatin, who will remain as chairman of the board.
Mr. Gennaro is a nineteen-year veteran of PepsiCo and a former president of Pepsi's fountain beverage division, where he led Pepsi's resurgence in the cola wars for fast food accounts. He also held key positions in bottling operations and brand marketing at Pepsi-Cola and Frito-Lay, respectively.
"Vince's arrival at TurboChef marks a significant inflection point in the company's history," said Mr. Bogatin. "Over the past year-and-a-half our organization has initiated manufacturing in China, delivered a highly reliable product to approximately 1,000 locations, enhanced our patent portfolio, and furthered our technology lead. TurboChef has initiated both pilot tests and market rollouts with many large foodservice organizations in various channels such as subway restaurants, multiple sports complexes, hospitality chains, C-stores, foodservice contractors and movie chains. Vince brings to TurboChef the leadership skills necessary to take our team to higher levels. His industry experience and leadership skills will enable him to accelerate TurboChef's growth."
