Merloni Announces 25-percent Growth Oct 14, 2002

Andrea Guerra, Merloni Elettrodomestici’s managing director, declared that the company's turnover for the period ending Sept. 30, 2002 registered a 25-percent growth compared to the same period in 2001, with a value amounting to approximately 1.7-1.8 billion euros (U.S. $1.68-$1.78 billion). Of the 25 percent increase, 13 percent is attributed to internal growth and 12 percent to the 50-percent consolidation of turnover. The data for the third quarter will be announced on Oct. 30.
