Gemstar-TV Guide International, Inc. Friday announced that it has signed a multi-year license agreement with Thomson to incorporate its interactive program guide technology into Thomson’s RCA-brand televisions and digital recording devices. The agreement reportedly also allows Thomson to continue incorporating Gemstar-TV Guide’s technology into its satellite receivers in North America.

According to Gemstar-TV Guide, Thomson will pay license fees based on the number of units sold that include licensed technology. The licensing agreement reportedly puts an end to the arbitration and litigation between the two companies.
