Best Buy announced yesterday that Klipsch Synergy Series loudspeakers and home theater systems have begun shipping to its stores across the U.S.
According to Fred Klipsch, chairman and owner of Klipsch Audio Technologies, the arrangement with Best Buy is the first time his company’s brand has been available outside of independent, boutique-style retailers. He added, "We believe Best Buy is an excellent retailer who will expose new customers to the Klipsch sound experience and increase future demand for high-quality, premium audio products."
Best Buy reported that Klipsch sales at close to 400 stores were very promising, considering that neither company has promoted the availability of the loudspeakers. Best Buy plans national advertising for Klipsch Synergy Series products to begin June 15, 2003.
