Mac-Gray Corporation, a laundry facilities contractor, Monday announced that its MicroFridge® division has signed a nationwide distribution agreement with Maytag Corporation’s Amana division.
According to Stewart MacDonald, chairman and CEO of Mac-Gray, the distribution agreement will help the MicroFridge division better leverage the strengths of the company. He adds that, with the distribution agreement, MicroFridge "will be able to offer a full complement of standard-sized appliances" in the academic housing, military housing, and hotel/motel markets.
The distribution agreement with Amana is part of the company’s efforts to expand its brand coverage. Phil Emma, vice president and general manager of MicroFridge, said, "Since I joined the company 10 months ago, we have embarked on a strategy of extending both the MicroFridge brand and its penetration of the markets it serves, as well as increasing the diversity of its revenue stream."
